Violet Fire: Bringing a new beer to life.
Copywriter/ Brand Concepting
“She roams the sliver of earth that separates beauty and chaos. Here she cruises dusty roads, longing for truth in the openness that once existed in abundance in the west. She’s out there somewhere far beyond the pavement, where the blacktop turns to clay. Find her, and you ignite your own Violet Fire.
Violet Fire New Style Lager makes its own style on the foundation of a classic lager, without getting bogged down in the tradition that slows innovation.”
There’s nothing like working on a beer brand. Uinta Brewing came to us looking for a brand identity for their new beer line that would help them reach audiences far beyond the Beehive State. Our direction was “Dystopian Western Landscape with a Cowboy Punk Heroine.” And so, Violet Fire New Style Lager was born.
Calling all Real Fans.
Creative Director/Copywriter
The University of Utah Licencing Office approached us needing to create awareness for buying licensed fan apparel. They needed us to convey that licensed apparel helps the university and provides scholarships for athletes. We decided the best way to convince fans to buy licensed gear was to question whether or not they were a “real fan”.
Nothing says college like
1000 orange scooters.
Creative Director/Copywriter
It’s cool when Spin Scooters selects the University of Utah as a pilot for their college campus program. It’s even cooler when they give a bunch of student creatives free-reign to promote it. Our strategy was simple. Riding scooters makes you feel like a kid again. Riding a scooter gives you a break from the adult experiment called college. So, with the help of every account director, strategist, writer, designer, and videographer, we came up with lines that reflect the “Don’t Grow Up” mantra that every student needs.
Avaya Engage meets Dr. Sian Proctor.
Copywriter
A woman like Dr. Sian Proctor really needs no introduction. We could have easily said “She’s the first black woman to pilot a space mission” and people would have been enthralled to hear her speak. But, events like Avaya Engage require pomp and circumstance, so that’s what we gave. Dr. Proctor enjoyed the introduction so much, she asked to use the video for all her speaking engagements.
Bold Copy for bold flavors.

Freebirds World Burrito needed OOH ads that felt like the burritos tasted. Knowing that the target market was college students looking to break up the monotony of bland burritos we knew we needed to punch up the in-your-face nature of Freebird’s flavors with some in-your-face copy.
It’s okay. Eat the yellow snow.
Copywriter
You never forget your first time… writing a video script. When Maverik gained first dibs on a lemonade-flavored F’Real smoothie, it was natural for us to call it yellow snow. From there the spot wrote itself, and the Yellow Snow F’Real was a hit at Maverik locations across the western United States.
